# HEAT

> Discover the hottest hard house, bounce, trance and hard groove tracks from underground artists before they blow up.

HEAT tracks emerging producers in the hard house, bounce, trance and hard groove scene. It scrapes
SoundCloud labels and artist profiles daily, scores every track by a transparent "heat"
formula, and ranks the artists driving the scene. The goal is to surface tracks and artists
that are gaining traction fast — disproportionate to their audience size — before they break.

## How heat is scored

Each track's heat = velocity × engagement × time-decay × underdog boost, where:
- velocity = plays gained per day
- engagement = a boost from the like/play ratio
- time-decay = recent tracks weigh more (half-life ~14 days)
- underdog boost = rewards small artists whose plays-per-follower is high

An artist's score is the sum of their tracks' heat, times a release-consistency multiplier.
